Hey Scotty, you missed that Hertz was reporting many cars as stolen then legitimate renters were getting caught by police and arrested. They deserve to go under.
They had a bad habit of reporting cars stolen, while customers had a valid current rental.That is a brand killer.
The Democrats should snatch those cars up and give them free to their toys – the illegals. Those cars blow up! The Dem’s are idiots and probably will do it. Because that’s what Democrats do!

They deserve to go out of business. They provided lousy customer service the past 3 rentals from them. The first one was in Florida at the airport. We ordered a compact. The car in the spot with our name was a luxury car. We asked about it they insisted it was ours. When we returned it we were interrogated because they thought we took the wrong car. The next time we planned a trip to go across Canada to Maine. Ordered a minivan 2 months in advance. Went to pick it up we got a big Chevy SUV. Minivan in shop, “recalled for service.” The SUV was new with just over 5,000 miles on. We got into Canada and the oil gauge starting dropping. We had to drive around to find a place to change the oil. They got only a half cup of oil out of the thing. We paid for the oil change. We ended up blowing a tire. The jack wasn’t strong enough to life the SUV so we had to call road service and get towed to the station to be put on a hoist. They reimbursed us for the oil change and gave us a $40 coupon off for another rental which expired in 3 months. Never used it. The third and last time we rented a small SUV a month in advance. Went to pick it up. We pulled in the parking lot and I said to my husband, I don’t see a small SUV, I see a mini-van that looks like someone just brought it back. I said I hope that is not ours. Sure enough it was. The thing was dirty. We asked them to check the oil and windshield washer fluid when we ordered it because of our previous experience but they didn’t, My husband had to put a quart of oil in it and fill up the washer stuff. We asked for a GPS we didn’t get it, he told us we could drive to the Airport and pick one up. It only had a half tank of gas in it, he told us we could bring it back with just a half tank. I told him this wasn’t what we ordered. We ordered it a month ago. We asked you to check the oil, windshield washer, we asked for a GPS and a small SUV. WE got none of that. I told him well this is the last time I am renting from Hertz he said fine. They don’t deserve to be in business.
I had a similar problem. Reserved a car with my card, wife tried to get it and was denied. Said she had to use the same card. Daughters father in law paid for the car. They are still trying to collect on a car they refused to rent to us.
They deserve to go out of business. Thieves and liars.
