No credibility should ever be given to any government. The incentives of the idiots in charge is not aligned to ours. That’s why the Constitution attempts to minimize the powers of government. It’s why the U.S. advanced faster than any other nation during its first century when the Constitution held sway. It’s why we need to either institute a way for citizens to ENFORCE the Constitution or start a new nation, as in http://www.unitedfreestates.com. Read Rock Pig’s book Word from Future if you want to make a change for the better. Read his book The Laws of Life if you want to know why. These are works that will go down as the best advice ever given to humanity.
Once the population gets used to relying on big government for all of their needs, it’s nearly impossible to stop the decay. This is why communist countries (such as Russia and China) will never be at the forefront of anything again. Their incentive is gone, as is their self reliance and their creativity. Mediocrity has become a way of life that they’ve settled into, and each new generation is raised to have the same (lack of) values. This is the direction that America is also taking. EeThe first century of America’s existence it was populated by people who actually understood and valued personal freedom, and risked their lives to attain it. Those kinds of people simply don’t exist today. No one has the intestinal fortitude of our founding fathers, and subsequent generations have allowed our freedoms to be whittled away in favor of laziness and mediocrity. It actually gets worse with every new generation, to the point where it’s now common to hear people foolishly advocating for communism and the total elimination of our Constitution. There’s no reversing this damage despite the handful of folks who understand what’s happening. America’s once great experiment will never again be repeated anywhere on earth. For a brief time, we saw what could be accomplished when freedom was truly valued, while America today reflects what happens when those values fade away.
What credibility ?
