I’ve always loved Dennis, but I have an even greater respect for him after watching a reporter hound him incessantly as he’s packing his car to evacuate the fire. That man kept his cool perfectly.
And you can see in the interview that you can be a rich actor AND a good person.

I was raised in Santa Monica in the 50s 60s and 70s. There have been fires in those Hills almost every year of my 72 years of life. Back in my youth it wasn’t a big problem because there were so few people living in those Hills and no lives were lost or homeless lost. California has always somehow ignored the fact they have yearly fires with Santa Ana winds. As they started building in those Hills they added fire brakes which haven’t been maintained. The amount of damage we see now is directly related to the lack of fire prevention. I moved out of La in 1977 because of the rapid population growth which burdened the landscape and ecosystems upsets in California.
